Another Successful International Women’s Day Breakfast
A very successful International Women’s Day Breakfast was held on Thursday 08 March at the Frenchville Sports Club.
Approximately 230 guests attended the function and enjoyed a presentation from guest speaker and author Anna Daniels. The function was ably emceed by Trish Collins and guests enjoyed a buffet of breakfast food. Vice President Catherine Dunbar presented the Young Women in Public Affairs Award to Katie Emmert and Councillor Rose Swadling presented the Living Treasure Award to Bev Hannam. Ergon Energy representative Brad Montgomery received a Certificate of Appreciation from Vice President Catherine Dunbar in appreciation of 10 years of sponsorship by Ergon Energy.
Many guests were the lucky winners of prizes in the multi drawer raffle and our very popular eco bags were available for purchase. Zonta appreciates the support of local business firms who generously donated raffle prizes. Our thanks once again to those guests who have supported the function each year from our first IWD function in 2002.
