Annual Zonta CQUniversity Awards presented

President Meredith Sutherland attended the annual Central Queensland University Award Ceremony recently to meet with the awardees of the three Zonta Awards which are offered annually by the Zonta Club of Rockhampton. Two of the Zonta Encouragement Awards target STEM courses and are offered to female students in Engineering and Paramedic Science. A third, the STEPS Award, supports female students wishing to enter tertiary study. The successful student gains admission to an undergraduate degree.

The Engineering Award was won by Charmaine Dig’O, the Paramedic Science Award by Veronika Amaya and the STEPS Award by Lynne Wagg. All three were present at the Award Ceremony to receive their Awards and meet with our President Meredith.
