Amelia Earhart Fellowship Brunch & 100 Year Celebrations Launch

What a great time we had at the Amelia Earhart Brunch and launch of our Celebration for Zonta’s centennial. Great company (attendance of 205 Zontians andfriends), great food (Hilton Hotel) and of course super speakers – former PIP Leneen Forde telling of the “early days of her time as a Zontian and special guest speaker Brisbane born Melissa Brauman who flew in from the Middle East where she is a pilot for Ethiad Airways and a member of the Ninety Nines organisation of female pilots – Amelia Earhart.was the first President of the group. Congrats to Zonta Brisbane South and the organising Committee for a great event.

District 22 CONFERENCE 2023 -Update

The District 22 Conference 2023 is successfully concluded. From the warm welcome to Mackay by Mayor Williamson and Aunty Pat Corrie to the final business closure on Sunday 10 September, delegates and guests enjoyed the guest speakers, the several presentations by our education award winners, our Zonta International Representative Annika from Sweden and the Zonta spirit generated by many Zontians being and working together for the future of District 22. Congratulations to the newly elected Board Members and Nominating Committee, as well as to the many first-time Conference delegates who participated in the business sessions. Thanks also to the Zontians of Mackay who hosted the event and to the Organising Committee for their months of planning to deliver a happy and productive District Conference. The District Conference 2025 will be held in Mount Isa. In the meantime the 2024 Zonta International Convention in Brisbane will be the next major event to which we look forward.
